Schoolboy Summer Camp
(Grades 1-6)
Jeff Jordan was fortunate enough to capture four Ohio High School State Titles. His high school
record was 159-1. Coach Jordan was also a 2x NCAA All-American and a Big Ten Champ in college.
He has five years of collegiate coaching experience, and is currently the head coach of
Division II powerhouse Graham. In his ten years of coaching at Graham, they have won 10 Sectional,
10 District, and 6 State Titles. In 2006 Graham was ranked 6 th in the nation and was dubbed the
best public wrestling school in the state of Ohio. Graham won the Team State Title in 1998, 01, 02,
03, 04, 05, 06 and is currently ranked 1st in the state and 3rd in the nation. Jeff Jordan has trained
champions for several years. The Jeff Jordan State Champ Camp has helped produce over 230
State Champs in the past ten years. This camp has attracted many of the top jr. high and high
school wrestlers from Ohio and throughout the country. Now, it is attracting some of the best
younger wrestlers in the country as well. Over 70 National Champs attended the Schoolboy Camp
in 2006!
Camp Philosophy
Many times the beginning wrestlers learn moves and holds in unrelated fashion, and there is no
real underlying system or philosophy to the instruction. This camp is different! It is designed to
give the younger wrestler the fundamentals that are critical for success, as well as teach them a
system. Wrestlers will learn how to drill correctly. Wrestlers will also learn the vital importance of
stance, hip position, and the techniques that all champions must have. Skills such as set-ups,
proper leg attacks, finishes, and the front headlock will be mastered. Other techniques will be
discussed. However, because most championships are won on the feet, takedowns will be the
focus. This is an intensive 3-day camp for the schoolboy wrestler.
