Q. What can I do to help get placed at camp?


A. The best way of assuring greatest possibility of placement is to mark "Yes" on every week that you could possibly attend. Mark "No" on all other weeks that you are unavailable. Send in application early, then we will mail back and confirm which week works best.

 

Q. Do I need a specific amount of experience or accomplishments to be accepted for camp?


A. No. Whether your wrestler is a first-year wrestler, or a multiple time State Champ, your wrestler will be placed in a camp that is built around his needs. For each camp the training partners are hand-picked by Coach Jordan and Coach Mac. This ensures that every wrestler is placed in a camp that will challenge and build his confidence, not crush his spirit, or let him get bored.

 

Q. When are selections made for each camp?


A. Selections will be made, and confirmations will be mailed approximately as follows:

 

Team Camp: Confirmations will be mailed by April 20th

 

Individual Weeklong: Confirmations will be mailed by May 1st

 

Schoolboy Weekend: Confirmations will be mailed by May 10th

 

Fall Weekend: Confirmations will be mailed by Oct. 1st

 

Spring Weekend: Confirmations will be mailed by March 1st

 

Q. Can Dads stay for the weekend camps? (6th grade and under)


A. Yes, fathers can stay at the same facility and eat with the camper. There is a $50 charge for the father to stay and eat with their child. This must be approved by Coach Jordan. Please specify on application.

 

** No Father is allowed to stay at the wrestling facility for weeklong camps.

 

Q. How much extra spending money do the children need if I am dropping them of for the week?


A. We suggest about $50. The kids can order pizza after the last session every night and there is a pop machine that they can use anytime. Also, if someone else is picking your wrestler up - they may want to bring money to buy a T-shirt or shorts etc.

 

Q. Are wrestlers allowed to attend more than one week of camp?


A. Yes, many wrestlers find benefit in attending multiple weeks of camp.

 

Q. Can the Wrestlers buy clothing, etc.?


A. We offer T-Shirts, shorts, knee pads, sweatpants, videos, etc., at checkout time only. This way it is not necessary for wrestlers to have extra money except for pizza and pop. Parents can bring extra money at checkout to purchase gear.

 

Q. Can wrestlers be placed in the same camp together?


A. Yes - if both wrestlers are close to the weight range of the camp chosen. Please send applications in together and mark on application "Please place with (Wrestler’s Name)... if possible."

 

Q. If I don't get placed at camp, is there anything I can do next time to help get placed?


A. The Jeff Jordan State Champ Camp turns away over 200 wrestlers per year. Possible Reasons Why:

 

1. Your application was turned in after the deadline.
2. You did not supply us enough weeks to choose from.
3. We did not have the correct age and weights for the weeks you chose.

 

Q. When is it ok for me to schedule a flight for my wrestler to attend camp?


A. Please wait until you receive a confirmation in the mail with the dates you are scheduled to attend prior to scheduling your flight. Once you schedule your flight information, we ask that you email us the flight itinerary. We will email you back with confirmation of your flight itinerary.

 

**WE MUST HAVE YOUR FLIGHT INFORMTION 2 WEEKS BEFORE YOUR ARRIVAL TO GUARANTEE TRANSPORTATION.

 

Q. When utilizing the airport transportation service, when are the best times for my wrestler arrive and depart from the airport?


If your wrestler is attending a Weeklong Summer Camp:

 

Please have your wrestler arrive on Sunday between 2:00-6:00pm. Camp check in is at 7:00pm on Sunday. Late check in can be accommodated with approval from camp staff. Please do not have your wrestler fly in before 2pm on Sunday. If your wrestler does fly in before 2:00pm on Sunday, there is a chance that the pick-up will not be scheduled until 2:00pm. Please schedule your departing flight to leave between 3:15-7:00pm on Thursday. Camp check out is at 1:30pm on Thursday. Early checkout can be accommodated. We do not permit your wrestler to arrive on the Saturday before camp begins or to depart the Friday after camp ends. No one will be around the facility to supervise your wrestler.

 

If your wrestler is attending a Spring or Fall Weekend Camp:

 

Please have your wrestler arrive on Friday from 2:00-6:00pm. Camp check in is at 7:00pm on Friday. Late check in can be accommodated with approval from camp staff. Please do not have your wrestler fly in before 2pm on Friday. Please schedule your departing flight to leave between 1:00-5:00pm on Sunday. Camp check out is 10:30am on Sunday. Early checkout can be accommodated.

 

If your wrestler is attending a Summer Schoolboy Weekend Camp:

 

Please have your wrestler arrive on Friday from 10.00am-1:00pm. Camp check in is at 2:00pm on Friday. Late check in can be accommodated with approval from camp staff. Wrestlers are not permitted to arrive the evening prior to the start of camp. Please schedule your departing flight to leave between 2:00 -7:00pm on Sunday. Camp check out is 1:30pm on Sunday. Early checkout can be accommodated.

 

Q. Who will be picking my son up at the Airport?


A. Airport pick up and drop off will be provided by a Jordan Trained Staff Member.

Camp Payments:


Camp Deposit- We accept cash, check, money order, and cashier’s check. Credit cards are not accepted.
Bounced Check Fees- If you bounce a check there will be a $50.00 fee.

 

Please wait until the 2019 summer application is posted before mailing in an application.
No applications will be accepted before Jan 1, 2019! No applications are accepted by email.

 

If you are not selected for a camp, you will receive a full refund.
If you are selected and you cannot come to the camp, a 2-week notice is needed to receive a refund.

 

Summer Camps:


Pack plenty of shorts, T-shirts, and under garments. Wrestlers typically change at minimum 1- 2 times per day because of vigorous activity. Please be sure to note any/ all medical conditions our staff needs to be aware of on the Medical Waiver. (Sent with confirmation letter). Allergies, Bee Stings, etc.
Deposit must be mailed in with completed application and completed medical waiver.

 

OFFICE HOURS:


Mon., Tue., Wed., Thur. 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Often Coach Jordan and Coach Mac are working inside the wrestling facility away from the phone or are away at tournaments for a day or two. If at any time you have difficulty reaching Coach Jordan by phone, please leave your name and number on the answering machine and he will return your call ASAP. Feel free to call back in a day or so if you haven't heard from us.
